Regional Action Framework

A roadmap to solving homelessness

Framework

Over the past few years, many of We Are In’s partners have collaborated with King County and the City of Seattle on a Regional Action Framework to provide a roadmap forward for solving homelessness and building affordable homes in our region. Funded by the Raikes Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Ballmer Group, the framework was created in a community-led effort with input and ownership from stakeholders across the region.

Centering racial equity and the voices of people with personal experience, the Regional Action Framework addresses the existing homelessness response system, preventing homelessness from happening in the future, and building all types of new affordable housing. It also recognizes that solutions may look differently for different communities across King County.

We Are In’s partners will now work to implement proposals from the Regional Action Framework, working with the new Regional Homelessness Authority, county and city governments, business, philanthropy, nonprofits, the faith community, and people with personal experience of homelessness. Join us and add your name to receive future updates from We Are In.

System Analysis and Accountability Recommendations Report

Vulcan recently commissioned a report to assess and learn from efforts undertaken in Seattle/King County over the past two to three years to improve homeless system performance. It’s intended to provide a baseline of information, data, and analysis that leaders can use as they launch the new regional entity and move forward with the development of a Regional Action Plan (RAP).
